C-35 Middleburg High School Lighting and Ceiling Replacement Contract Award
Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2008/2009 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The project had eight (8) bidders and all bidders met the bid requirements.
Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to C.C. Borden Construction, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $426,973.00 and Alternate #1 in the amount of $21,871.00 for a total bid award of $448,844.00.
Financial Impact
The low bidder meeting specifications, C.C. Borden Construction, Inc., has a total bid award of $448,844.00. These funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
